About the FBK International PhD Program

Since 2016, Fondazione Bruno Kessler runs the International PhD Program, an excellence program for the training of all the doctoral students carrying out their PhD at FBK. The program brings together a serie of collaborations with prestigious Doctoral Schools in Italy and in the world. The FBK PhD students are formally enrolled at the partner Doctoral Schools, but develop their research programs at FBK, a top level research institution in Italy.

The PhD students are supervised by FBK researchers—among the best qualified and top world-wide ranked scientist in their field—in a culturally, scientifically and technically stimulating environment, with an international and multicultural presence of students, researchers and partner companies.

Prospective students are invited to apply to our joint calls, fulfilling the requirements required by the partner Doctoral Schools. Calls are normally open every year for a short period, usually falling between April and September. The selections of the successful candidates are carried on jointly by the school and FBK. Scholarships are acknowledged by the International FBK PhD Program to the selected students for the whole duration of their programs.
