Artificial Intelligence for Multimodal Temporal and Sequential Data

We invite applications for a PhD position focused on innovative Artificial Intelligence techniques for the analysis of temporal and sequential data. The PhD project may explore one or more of the following areas: – Causality in AI and Deep Learning, with applications in predictive and prescriptive analytics – Advanced methods for Business Process Simulation and Digital Twins for the generation of alternative scenarios and A/B analysis – Advanced techniques for explainable and trustworthy AI in temporal and causal domains – Representation learning and generative AI applied to multimodal temporal and sequential data The specific research direction will be defined jointly with the selected candidate, based on their background and interests. We encourage applications from candidates with a strong scientific background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Neurobiology. The position offers flexibility in both research style and focus, supporting theoretical investigations as well as applied projects, in line with the candidate’s profile and aspirations.
